About the Instructor

Teachers come away from ENVoY trainings with powerful nonverbal strategies and proven methods for positive changes in their classroom. These strategies enable teachers to spend more time teaching, and less time managing.

Rachel Babbs, M.Ed., graduate of Advanced ENVoY and ENVoY trainer, is a teacher trainer and master presenter. Her passion, enthusiasm, humor and knowledge give you an unforgettable experience with easy to use solutions to behavior problems.

Rachel is committed to helping teachers learn to manage with influence. Through lecture, demonstration, and role play (simulation), teachers come away from her courses with powerful non-verbal strategies. These strategies enable educators to decrease time spent managing students and let them get back to doing what they love — teaching.

Experience

  • A teacher for 20 years from grades K-12.Rachel is now a teacher-trainer in the area of classroom management for 10 years.She has trained teachers all over the country at the elementary, middle, and high-school levels, including urban Houston and urban Minneapolis. This past year, trained teachers at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility, Lord High School.
  • 1999-02 - ENVoY Trainer, Presenter, Coach, and Michael Grinder Associate. Coordinates, facilitates, and teaches in-services in Salem, OR, Vancouver, WA, and Minneapolis, MN
  • 1998-02 - Children's Choir Director, 1st United Methodist Church Teaches singing to children ages 7-10 with performances every second and fourth Sunday of the month.
  • 1992-02 - Music Specialist, Mary Eyre Elementary School, Salem-Keizer School District. Teaches general music and choir to school age children grades k-5.
  • 1989-91 - Music Specialist, Swegle Elementary School, Salem-Keizer School District. Taught general music and choir to school age children grades k-6.
